Teacher

Tom Slot is an arts educator with a Masters degree in Education from Loyola College specializing in curriculum design and development and an Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from Columbia University. Over the years he has taught Creative Writing, Theater Arts, Theater History, and Literature and Composition at the high school level. He has worked at a number of summer arts camps for students of various levels and is currently the camp director of Grace Outside The Box, a summer arts camp on Long Island. He currently teaches the Drama section of the Creative Arts Laboratory class at Teacher College at Columbia University. He is also an adjunct factualy member of the Queens College Drama Department where he teachers Drama 100 - Introduction to Acting at the Queens School of Inquiry to high school students for college credits. Tom is also a member of the CM Day Players and the Broadhallow Day Players, two Rep companys that performs educational theater for students of all ages.
