  • Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from Columbia University.
  • Teaching certificates in Maryland and New York.
  • Adjunct faculty at Teacher College at Columbia University and Queens College.

Tom Slot has taught the following workshops for students from middle school through high school. Each workshop is highly customizable to address your students particular needs and interests. PRIVATE LESSONS

 


 

Tom Slot is available for private teaching sessions in the New York City and Long Island area for student actors and musicians/songwriters of all ages. If you are interested in booking a session, please contact Tom with a brief description of your interests and background. Sessions are available in 30 minute ($40) and 60 minute ($60) intervals. There are pricing discounts for booking multiple sessions.

Educational Theater Association - Offerings include theatre festivals for students, professional development programs for theatre teachers, a magazine, and a quarterly journal.

 

AATE - The American Alliance For Theatre and Education is a networking organization for theatre artists and educators. They aim to provide opportunities for idea exchange, leadership, creativity, artistry, mentorship, recognition, advocacy and more to those with a vested interest in the field of theatre and education.

 

ATHE - The Association for Theatre in Higher Education. An advocate for the field of theatre and performance in higher education, ATHE serves as an intellectual and artistic center for producing new knowledge about theatre and performance-related disciplines, cultivating vital alliances with other scholarly and creative disciplines, linking with professional and community-based theatres, and promoting access and equity.
